Netflix’s 13 Reason Why was released and turned into a world phenomenon. It was pretty clear that it will soon come with the second season and yet here we are, waiting for season 2 knocking doors. Just after one month of its release in the year 2017, it becomes a social phenomenon on twitter with more than 11 million tweets. 13 Reasons Why is adapted from Jay Asher’s novel with the same title which narrates the tragic suicide story of teenager Hanna Baker and mystery unfolds in 13 tapes her post-death. It was the last year’s most trending show and now back with the second season.

When ’13 Reasons Why’ Season 2 is Coming?
Netflix hasn’t revealed about the premiere dates of the second season of 13 Reason Why or no official announcement regarding it but the shooting for the series has been wrapped up. The series is expected to release in summer of 2018.
On 7th May 2017, Netflix has announced to renew the second season. The shooting for the second season has been started on 12th June 2017. Selena Gomez has shared the photographs of 13 Reasons Why’s cast on her Twitter along with the news that there will be the second season coming soon.
Who will be on the 13 Reasons Why Season 2?
All the primary characters of the 13 Reason Why pilot season like Clay, Tony, Justin, Alex, Zach, Courtney, Bryce and Jessica would be there in season 2. The executive producer Selena Gomez wrote “This year wraps up with another committed journey with @13reasonswhy -Season 2 is coming,” She had shared the photographs of a full cast on Instagram. She further added “To every person on this project, thank you for coming back. Good or bad we are committed to having the tough conversations, to telling the story that can start change.” Even there are chances of Selena Gomez making a cameo in the series.

Recently, Netflix has revealed the results of the study conducted about what impact 13 Reasons why had on the youth. Northwestern University Centre on Media and Human Development has conducted the research which says “71% of teens and young adults found the show relatable, and nearly three-quarters of teen and young adult viewers said the show made them “feel more comfortable processing tough topics”

Netflix VP of Original Series, Brian Wright said “The hope is that the steps we’re taking now will help support more meaningful conversations as Season 2 rolls out later this year. We’ve seen in our research that teens took positive action after watching the series, and now more than ever we are seeing the power and compassion of this generation advocating on behalf of themselves and their peers.”
