Bollywood is mourning on the loss of ‘Hawa-Hawai’ actress Sri Devi. The legendary actress has passed away on Saturday Night due to cardiac arrest. Sri Devi’s brother-in-law and actor Sanjay Kapoor has confirmed the news as well. He said “Yes, it is true that Sridevi passed away. I just landed here, I was in Dubai and now I am flying back to Dubai. It happened roughly around 11.00-11.30. I don’t know more details yet,”
On other side, another source near to the family also confirmed “Yes it’s true. She was in Dubai while some of the other family members came back to India. We hear it’s cardiac arrest.”

Reportedly, Sri Devi along with whole family was in UAE to attend the wedding of Mohit Marwah. At the time of her death, her husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi was present there.
Sri Devi was born with her real name Amma Yanger Ayyapan who worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada language films before making her debut in the Hindi film Industry. She started acting as child artist, early in late 1960s where her best performance in the Malayalam film Poombata released in 1971 awarded her the state award for best child artist.
In Bollywood, She made her debut as child artist in the film Julie released in 1975. As adult, she worked in the Tamil film Moondru Mudichi released in 1976 at age of 13. Sri Devi turned out to be one of the biggest and most popular actress in history of Indian Cinema.
She even won the fourth highest civil honour in India, Padma Shri in the year of 2013 by Indian Government.
The actress has worked in movies like Chandni, Sadma, Himmatwala, Mr. India, Tohfa, Gumrah, Nagina, Chaalbaaz and Mawali. She later made her comeback with the film English Vinglish in 2012. Sri Devi has lately appeared in the film ‘MOM’ released in the year of 2017 opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshay Khanna.
Sri Devi has shot for her special appearance in the Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film ‘Zero’ which will be releasing in December this year.
This is quite surprising that Amitabh Bachchan may have this coming or just have some intuition as he tweeted before the her demise
